What 10 things have you stopped doing in your life?
- Stopped running after one-sided friendships.
- They’re not worth it. You talk every day, and then one day you just suddenly stop talking, and don’t talk for days. Even if you do talk, it is just short replies from their end.
- I am not going to make the other person the villain. I have done that too, sometimes. It happens.
- Stopped sugar-coating my words.
- If the person dislikes my opinion/idea/statement, they’re gonna dislike it no matter how I say it. Better being straightforward, than sugarcoating your words.
- Sugarcoating your words often doesn’t convey your message that well, in my opinion.
- Stopped putting myself down in order to make the other person happy.
- I’m pretty respectful if I am debating with someone or if we’re sharing our opinions. But sometimes, the other person gets a little frustrated if my opinions are different than theirs, and I used to shut down. But now I don’t. They’re not here to give a TedTalk. They here to share their opinions and listen to mine as well.
- Stopped judging people.
- I’ll be honest, I used to judge quite a bit. “She got an F in her test? Well, she’s on her phone 24/7 so….” But now I don’t judge. Her test, her business, not mine.
- The girl who you judged because of her clothes? Her family is not financially stable. She works double shifts and takes care of her mom who has cancer. She looks after her whole family, and barely gets any sleep. She doesn’t have enough money to buy new clothes.
- Stopped following the so-called “girl code.”
- “Don’t date your best friend's ex.”
- If a person likes me, and I like them too, we’re not supposed to date because they are my best friends’ ex? That's dumb.
- If my best friend actually cares about me, then she’ll support my decision.
- Stopped being jealous.
- There’s always going to be someone prettier than me. I can do nothing about it. Being jealous is just a waste of time and energy.
- Stopped seeking validation.
- Seeking validation just lowered my self-esteem and made me extremely anxious.
- Stopped caring about what other people think.
- “I don’t like the way you dress.”
- I couldn’t care less :D
- Don’t get me wrong, if it is something I should really change, for example, my attitude, I will work on it. But my dressing style is seriously not that big of an issue, and if it's bothering you, then I have only one thing to say; get a life.
- Stopped watching TV.
- I don’t know why, but TV just doesn’t appeal to me for some reason.
- I mean I am still going blind because I’m on my laptop and phone 24/7.
- Stopped eating fast food.
- …or at least reduced its consumption.
- A piece of chicken between two buns, accompanied by a glass of carbonated water mixed with sugar, caffeine, and food color, just doesn’t appeal to me anymore
